biological intelligence

a level of mental ability of presumed biological origins required primarily for cognitive activity. The term was introduced to differentiate forebrain-functioning ability from traditional concepts of intelligence. Biological intelligence is measured with a battery of tests that also indicate evidence of brain injury. [defined by U.S. psychologist Ward C. Halstead (1908–1969)]
