autonomic reactivity

autonomic reactivity

1. the extent to which an organism responds physiologically to a stimulus, such as a stressor.

2. a pattern of responses of the autonomic nervous system that is characteristic of an individual throughout life. Also called autonomic response specificity; individual response stereotypy.
