asymmetrical distribution

asymmetrical distribution

any nonnormal distribution: a set of ordered scores in which the frequency of values is not equal above and below the center or midpoint of the set. If one divides the distribution at its mean, the arrangement of scores differs across the two halves. See skewness. Compare symmetrical distribution.
