aha experience

the emotional reaction that typically occurs at a moment of sudden insight into a problem or other puzzling issue. It is the experience one would have upon realizing, for example, how to fix a computer problem, master a dance step, or resolve some other difficulty. In psychotherapy, it is specifically a client’s sudden insight into his or her motives for cognitions, affects, or behaviors. Also called aha moment; aha reaction.
