affirmative postmodernism

affirmative postmodernism

a perspective in postmodernism holding that social, cultural, and political progress is possible within a postmodern framework of assumptions. It is associated most closely with French philosopher Jean-François Lyotard (1924–1998). Compare skeptical postmodernism.
