word-fragment completion task

word-fragment completion task

an indirect way of detecting memory for a word presented previously. A word fragment consists of some of the letters of the word with blank spaces for deleted letters; the participant’s task is to fill in the blanks. Word fragments are frequently used in tests of implicit memory.
