uncinate fasciculus

uncinate fasciculus

a bundle of nerve fibers that connects the anterior and inferior portions of the frontal lobe of each cerebral hemisphere in the brain. It forms a compact bundle as the fasciculus bends around the lateral sulcus and spreads into a fan shape at either end. Research suggests that it has a role in remembering proper names.
