tacrine

tacrine

n. an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor used for the treatment of mild to moderate dementia associated with Alzheimer’s disease (see cognitive enhancer). A common adverse reaction to tacrine is liver dysfunction, which limits its use. U.S. trade name: Cognex.
