sum of cross-products

a statistical value obtained for two sets of variables xi and yi defined by the summation
Σ (xi – ӯ) (yi – ȳ),
where ӯ is the mean value of xi and ȳ the mean value of yi. It is used in the multivariate analysis of variance.
