sexual anesthesia

sexual anesthesia

an absence of normal sensation during sexual activity, including coitus. Sexual anesthesia is usually psychogenic. Although some patients report that they obtain sexual pleasure in masturbation but not in sexual activity with a partner, many derive no pleasure from any form of sexual behavior. See also erectile dysfunction; female sexual arousal disorder.
