serotonin syndrome

serotonin syndrome

a collection of symptoms, including fever, agitation, confusion, delirium, and increased heart rate, due to excess activity of the neurotransmitter serotonin. It may result from drug interactions that increase amounts of available serotonin to toxic levels.
