psychological significance

psychological significance

the extent to which an effect found in a research study is relevant to the attitudes, cognitions, beliefs, and behavior of humans. For example, a finding that describes how individuals function in a variety of different settings would have psychological significance. See also clinical significance; practical significance; statistical significance.
