proecological behavior

behavior that promotes the quality of the natural environment. Examples include recycling, efficient use of energy, and use of mass transportation. Among topics examined in the analysis of these behaviors are environmental attitudes, economic and political impediments, and sociodemographic factors. See also social trap.
