outbreeding

n.

1. the mating of humans who are unrelated or who originate from different groups. It is thus the converse of inbreeding.

2. the mating of a nonhuman animal with an unrelated or distantly related member of the same species. This may produce hybrid vigor. Also called crossbreeding.
