interdecile range

interdecile range

the difference between the ninth and first deciles of a distribution (i.e., the number obtained by subtracting the 10th percentile score from the 90th percentile score). The interdecile range provides a measure of dispersion in a data set that is minimally affected by outliers (extreme values). See also interquartile range.
