Golden Rule

Golden Rule

the principle of reciprocity in ethics. In the Christian tradition, it is usually expressed as “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you,” but versions are found in most world religions and many ethical systems. Immanuel Kant proposed a similar principle in the categorical imperative.
