eyelash sign

a reaction of eyelid movement to the stimulus of stroking the eyelashes. It can be used as part of a diagnostic test for loss of consciousness due to a functional or psychogenic disorder. If the loss of consciousness is due to a neurological disease or injury, the reflex will not occur.
