epileptogenic lesion

epileptogenic lesion

an area of tissue damage in the brain that results in epileptic seizures. Epilepsy may result from various brain lesions—for example, head injury, laceration, tumor, or hemorrhage—arising either immediately after the injury or, in some cases, months or years later.
