drug screening instrument

a brief interview, such as CAGE, or a brief self-report instrument, such as the Michigan Alcoholism Screening Test (MAST) or Drug Abuse Screening Test (DAST), that is designed to identify individuals who should be assessed thoroughly for the possibility of substance abuse.
