determiner

n. in linguistics, a word that appears with a noun or pronoun and limits (determines) its reference in some way, such as a, the, this, that, some, all, any, every, and so on. Numbers (as in three cats) and personal pronouns (as in her cats) can also be determiners. See also article; quantifier.
