chronic anxiety

a persistent, pervasive state of apprehension that may be associated with aspects of a number of anxiety disorders. These include uncontrollable worries in generalized anxiety disorder, fear of a panic attack in panic disorder, and obsessions in obsessive-compulsive disorder.
