brofaromine

n. an antidepressant drug that is a reversible monoamine oxidase inhibitor and relatively selective for monoamine oxidase A. It therefore lacks many of the food interactions that limit the use of irreversible, nonselective MAO inhibitors. Brofaromine is not currently available in the United States. European trade name: Consonar.
