anterior choroidal artery

anterior choroidal artery

a relatively narrow artery that is a posterior branch of the middle cerebral artery. It passes across the optic tract toward the temporal horn of the lateral ventricle and into the choroid plexus, hippocampus, thalamus, amygdala, and related deep structures.
