acoustic-mnestic aphasia

acoustic-mnestic aphasia

a form of aphasia resulting from lesions in the left temporal lobe. It is marked by difficulty in remembering verbal material, particularly in recalling word lists and reproducing long sentences. Also called acoustic–amnestic aphasia.
